**Official weather observations for Austin on September 12, 2026, recorded a daily maximum of 100–101°F, aligning precisely with the market's dominant 100.0% outcome.** Multiple real-time reports from stations including Austin-Bergstrom and NWS-affiliated sources documented this peak during a period of heat advisories, with highs near or slightly above seasonal records under a hot, humid southerly flow. Forecasts from models like GFS had consistently projected upper 90s to low 100s, and post-event data confirmed no exceedance of 101°F at primary reporting sites. This market-implied certainty reflects aggregated trader assessment of verified measurements rather than forecasts. The outcome could face challenge only from a rare official revision—such as a station-specific discrepancy or post-processing adjustment—though historical patterns show such changes are uncommon for clear, dry days with minimal precipitation.
