Official forecasts from sources including the National Weather Service and private models converge on a daily maximum of 98–100°F for Austin on September 13, 2026, driven by southerly flow advecting warm, moist Gulf air under partly to mostly sunny skies that permit strong insolation. This setup aligns with the market’s heaviest weighting on the 100–101°F bin (55%) and 98–99°F bin (34.5%), as sustained southerly winds of 5–10 mph with gusts to 20 mph limit mixing while dew points near 73°F sustain heat indices above 108°F without altering the dry-bulb reading. The outcome remains above the 1991–2020 climatological average high of 91.6°F yet well below the September 13 record of 102°F set in 2011, with minimal precipitation risk and no incoming frontal systems to alter the thermal profile before peak heating.
