Recent polling ahead of the September 20 Berlin Abgeordnetenhaus election placed Bündnis 90/Die Grünen at 15-16 percent, down from their 18.4 percent share in 2023, translating into projections of roughly 25-29 seats in the expanded chamber. Election-night forecasts from Infratest dimap and Forschungsgruppe Wahlen confirmed a final vote share near 14.3-15 percent, yielding an estimated 26 seats amid gains for Die Linke and AfD and losses for the SPD and CDU. The Greens retained influence as a potential coalition partner in either a left-leaning or centrist three-party arrangement but showed weakness in former strongholds such as Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. Late shifts in turnout among urban progressive voters or adjustments in overhang mandates could still alter the precise seat total within the narrow band.
