Official observations from the National Weather Service confirm a minimum temperature of 79°F early on September 9 at Miami International Airport, aligning closely with the market's strong consensus on the 80-81°F bin. Persistent high humidity, light easterly winds, and scattered tropical moisture typical of late-summer subtropical patterns limited overnight radiational cooling and kept the low well above the 1991-2020 climatological average of 77°F. Model guidance and real-time surface data showed minimal deviation from this range amid ongoing sea-breeze and convective activity. A clearer sky or unexpected drier air mass could have allowed further cooling into the mid-70s, but those conditions did not materialize.
