Ongoing heat across North Texas has elevated Dallas temperatures well above the 91°F September 10 climatological average, with recent observations and National Weather Service guidance pointing to a sunny day reaching the upper 90s or low 100s. Forecast models converge on a high near 100–101°F amid light southerly flow and heat indices exceeding 105°F, yet a 30–40% chance of afternoon thunderstorms introduces uncertainty that could limit peak readings to 98–99°F if convection develops earlier than expected. This setup, following multiple consecutive days above 100°F, supports the market’s emphasis on the 98–99°F bin as the modal outcome while leaving room for modest upward or downward revisions based on the timing and intensity of any storms.
