This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 11 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=zsqd If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Current ensemble forecasts from agencies like the China Meteorological Administration and global models indicate a most likely minimum temperature near 18–20°C for Qingdao on September 11, 2026, consistent with early-autumn maritime moderation along the Yellow Sea coast.** Historical September averages place the typical daily low around 19°C, with coastal sea-surface temperatures near 24–25°C helping suppress sharp nocturnal cooling. The closely matched market-implied odds—42% for 12°C or below versus 41.5% for 22°C or higher—reflect genuine short-range forecast uncertainty rather than a strong directional signal. Key differentiating factors include variable low-level wind direction (northeasterly versus southeasterly flow), potential for marine-layer stratus or clear-sky radiational cooling, and modest model spread in 850 hPa temperatures and boundary-layer moisture. Recent runs show limited large-scale forcing, with no active fronts or typhoon influences expected to shift the pattern dramatically before resolution. Traders appear to be pricing in tail risks from model divergence on overnight minimums, while the narrower probabilities around 13–21°C capture the narrower envelope of the consensus solution. The official daily minimum observation, typically recorded at a standard station under WMO guidelines, will determine the outcome once data are finalized.
