Recent forecasts for Chongqing indicate cooling from a cold air intrusion arriving September 9–10, shifting the city from recent highs near 30–38°C toward a maximum of 24–26°C on the 11th amid increased cloud cover and light precipitation. Multiple model runs from sources aligned with China Meteorological Administration guidance show this moderation driven by northerly flow and reduced insolation, with historical September averages near 29°C providing context for the expected drop. Close market probabilities across 24–26°C reflect genuine uncertainty in exact peak timing, boundary-layer moisture, and any lingering subtropical high influence, with new observational updates from regional stations likely to refine the outcome before resolution.
