Current official forecasts from MetService and aligned models point to a daily minimum of 7°C in Wellington on September 21, driven by a west-to-northwest flow ahead of an approaching front that brings cooler southerlies overnight. Ensemble guidance and recent observational trends support this value, consistent with September climatology where average lows hover near 9°C but can dip lower under clear, windy conditions following northerly advection. Trader consensus at 99.5% on 7°C reflects high confidence in these model runs and station measurements, though realistic shifts could occur if updated guidance revises the overnight minimum or if localized effects at the official site produce a different reading.
