National Weather Service forecasts and ensemble model guidance project an overnight low in the mid-60s Fahrenheit for Los Angeles on September 22, driven by a persistent marine layer, light southwest winds, and patchy fog that limits radiative cooling. This consensus aligns with the market's leading 66-67°F bin at 48% implied probability, while the secondary 68-69°F range at 23.5% reflects minor upside uncertainty in coastal versus inland readings. Recent observations from Los Angeles International Airport show similar lows in the 64-66°F range under comparable synoptic patterns, with historical September minima averaging near 63°F. Updated NWS briefings and next model runs remain the key near-term catalysts that could shift these odds.
