Official observations from the National Weather Service at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport recorded a daily maximum of 67°F on September 15, 2026, placing the outcome squarely in the 66-67°F bin with near-certainty. This aligned with a broader cool anomaly across the first half of the month, averaging 2–3°F below the 1991–2020 normal high of 71°F amid persistent onshore flow and marine influence that limited daytime warming. Model guidance and surface analyses from the prior 48 hours had already converged on this range, with no significant model spread or late-day surge observed. The market consensus reflects traders incorporating these verified station data rather than forecasts. An alternative station reading differing by more than 1°F or a post-hoc quality-control revision would be required to shift resolution, though such adjustments are rare for this site.
