The Querétaro gubernatorial race for 2027 remains tightly contested among leading PAN figures Luis Bernardo Nava Guerrero and Felipe Fernando Macías Olvera, with Morena’s Santiago Nieto Castillo also in contention, as reflected in current trader pricing. PAN maintains an edge in statewide polling averages, yet no single candidate has secured the nomination, leaving room for internal party dynamics and coalition negotiations to shift momentum. Nava’s recent resignation from the state social development secretariat to focus on his bid has clarified his intentions without yet altering broader preferences. Macías, the sitting capital mayor, continues emphasizing municipal results over early campaigning. Nieto’s positioning within Morena’s alliance faces headwinds from the party’s lower baseline support. Upcoming party processes and any further polling releases could widen or narrow gaps ahead of candidate selection.
