Bruce Blakeman, the Republican Nassau County executive and party nominee, holds a leading position in trader consensus for winning his home county in the 2026 New York gubernatorial election due to his established local profile and targeted appeals on affordability, taxes, and energy costs. A June Siena/Newsday survey of Nassau County voters showed him ahead of Democratic incumbent Kathy Hochul by five points, even as she maintained a substantial statewide lead. Recent union endorsements for Blakeman and his criticism of state policies have reinforced his suburban base, while Hochul’s improved job approval has not fully offset his home-county advantage. The November 3 contest features no major intervening primaries or events likely to shift county-level dynamics before Election Day.

The candidates will be primarily ranked by the number of valid votes received in the specified election. If two or more candidates are tied on valid votes, ties will be broken by alphabetical order of the candidate last names. This market will resolve to the candidate that occupies the highest finishing position after applying this ranking.
Candidates who are listed on multiple ballot lines under New York's fusion voting system will have their vote totals determined based on the sum of all votes for that candidate.
If the results of the election in the specified county are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, this market will resolve to "Other."
This market will resolve based on a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the government of New York, including the New York State Board of Elections and the government of Nassau County.
