Adelita Grijalva holds a commanding lead in trader assessments for Arizona's 7th Congressional District general election due to the seat's consistent Democratic lean, her incumbency after winning a 2025 special election by roughly a 2-to-1 margin over the same Republican opponent, and unopposed primaries for both candidates in July 2026. The district, spanning southern Arizona border communities including Tucson and Yuma, features voter registration and past results that favor Democrats by wide margins, reinforced by forecasters rating the race as solid or safe for the incumbent. A recent debate highlighted policy differences on immigration enforcement, water resources, and healthcare funding, yet produced no evident shift in positioning. Scenarios that could narrow the gap include late-breaking scandals, health events affecting the frontrunner, or an unusually strong Republican national environment, though historical patterns and the district's composition limit the realistic impact of such factors before November 3.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
