**Abdul El-Sayed holds a strong implied probability in the Oakland County portion of Michigan’s 2026 U.S. Senate race due to the county’s Democratic-leaning suburban electorate and the nominee’s primary performance across much of the state.** El-Sayed narrowly won the Democratic primary on August 4 after Mallory McMorrow withdrew and he edged Rep. Haley Stevens by under one point statewide, though Stevens carried Oakland by roughly seven points. In the general election matchup against former Rep. Mike Rogers, recent polls through mid-September show El-Sayed with a narrow statewide edge or statistical tie, reflecting voter priorities on the economy, healthcare, and affordability. Rogers has focused outreach on independents, older voters, and Jewish communities in Oakland County, citing El-Sayed’s progressive positions and past remarks on Israel, yet these efforts have not shifted broader polling or trader consensus enough to elevate Rogers’ county-level prospects. The race remains competitive with November 3 voting still weeks away, and turnout among suburban and independent blocs could influence the final county margin.

The candidates will be primarily ranked by the number of valid votes received in the specified election. If two or more candidates are tied on valid votes, ties will be broken by alphabetical order of the candidate last names. This market will resolve to the candidate that occupies the highest finishing position after applying this ranking.
The nominees of the Democratic and Republican parties are named in the contract for the convenience of traders. In the event that any named candidate is replaced as the nominee of their respective party prior to election day, the name in the contract will be updated and the market will resolve based on the replacement nominee of the party.
If the results of the election in the specified county are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, this market will resolve to "Other."
This market will resolve based on a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the government of Michigan, including the Office of the Secretary of State and the government of Oakland County.
