Recent Quaest polling from early September shows Marília Arraes (PDT) leading Senate intentions in Pernambuco at 17%, followed by incumbent Humberto Costa (PT) at 14% and Mendonça Filho (PL) at 11%, with the top three in technical tie within the margin of error and Eduardo da Fonte (PP) at 7%. High undecided voters (27%) and blank/null responses (18%) keep the race fluid ahead of the October 4 election, where voters select two senators. This dynamic sustains close probabilities for second place between Costa and Mendonça Filho, as Arraes appears positioned for first while alliances tied to the tight gubernatorial contest between Raquel Lyra and João Campos influence vote splitting. Minor shifts in recent surveys have not yet created separation among frontrunners.
