The Charlesbourg riding in the Capitale-Nationale region features a competitive multi-party contest ahead of the October 5, 2026, Quebec general election. Recent candidate nominations have shaped positioning, with Parti Québécois nominee Gabriel Coulombe and Conservative Party candidate Éloïse Coulombe drawing notable support in early projections amid provincial shifts away from the incumbent Coalition Avenir Québec. The riding's former CAQ MNA, Jonatan Julien, is not seeking re-election, opening the seat to challengers including CAQ's Marie-Josée Morency, a former chamber of commerce leader. Redistribution effects and broader trends in voter preferences across nationalist, conservative, and other options contribute to the close trader pricing among leading contenders and elevated "other" volume. Upcoming final nomination deadlines and any late provincial polling movements could further influence separation before election day.
