In the Beauharnois riding for Quebec’s October 5 National Assembly election, trader consensus reflects a close contest between Parti Québécois candidate Alexandre Daneau and incumbent Coalition Avenir Québec MNA Claude Reid. Recent provincial polling averages show the PQ holding steady near 29% support while the CAQ trails, creating opportunities for the opposition in former CAQ strongholds under the updated electoral map. Daneau, a local entrepreneur and community figure nominated in June, benefits from this broader shift, while Reid draws on incumbency advantages in a riding that favored the CAQ in 2022. Other candidates, including Liberal Charles Royer Tremblay and Conservative Angélika Homère, register minimal market pricing. The tight implied probabilities could separate with final-week campaign events, turnout patterns in Montérégie, or late provincial momentum swings between the two leading parties.
