James Talarico holds a strong implied probability in Tarrant County due to recent statewide polling showing him competitive or ahead overall, including a September Mason-Dixon survey placing him at 46% to Ken Paxton's 43% with the Dallas-Fort Worth region tied at 45%. Talarico has consolidated Democratic support while drawing independents, women, younger voters, and Hispanic voters at higher rates than Paxton, who relies more heavily on rural and older white Republican strongholds. Paxton's primary win in the county reflected intra-party dynamics rather than general election strength, and Talarico's record fundraising plus targeted suburban outreach have positioned him favorably in this key battleground area ahead of November 3. Other candidates and write-ins remain long shots in trader assessments.
