Kris Mayes, the Democratic incumbent, leads trader pricing for the November 2026 Arizona attorney general race after securing her party’s nomination without opposition. Warren Petersen, the Republican nominee and state Senate president, advanced from a competitive July primary against Rodney Glassman. Recent August polling shows Mayes ahead by narrow margins in head-to-head matchups, though with sizable undecided shares and results varying by survey methodology. Traders appear to weigh Mayes’ incumbency and name recognition more heavily than the tight polling averages, consistent with historical patterns in down-ballot Arizona contests where incumbents often maintain advantages into the fall campaign. No major late-breaking developments have altered the matchup since the primary.
