**Latest National Weather Service guidance and supporting model runs place Seattle's September 22 high near 67°F under mostly cloudy skies and moderate onshore flow, driving the market's tight clustering around 66–69°F.** This setup reflects a weakening upper ridge that allows cooler marine air to moderate daytime warming after several days of clearer, warmer conditions. Historical climatology shows a late-September average high of about 68.6°F at Sea-Tac, so the current forecast sits slightly below normal due to increased cloud cover and lighter winds that limit mixing and solar heating. Traders are weighing small model spreads and the potential for partial afternoon clearing, which could push readings a degree or two higher or keep them capped if marine stratus lingers. The next NWS forecast updates and any morning sounding data will likely refine the final range before resolution.
