Presidential elections in Bulgaria are expected to be held in the Fall of 2026. This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who wins the next presidential election in Bulgaria. This market includes any potential second round. If the result of this election isn't known by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other". This market will resolve based on the result of the election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the Bulgarian government, specifically the Central Election Commission (Centralna izbiratelna komisia, CEC) (www.cik.bg/).Iliana Iotova holds a commanding position in the October 25 Bulgarian presidential election as the incumbent president, backed by an initiative committee formed on September 8 that includes support from the Bulgarian Socialist Party and Progressive Bulgaria, along with her selection of Kiril Valchev as running mate. July polling by Global Metrics showed her attracting roughly half of respondents willing to support her personally and a Progressive Bulgaria-aligned candidate leading party-based preferences at 39.7 percent, well ahead of other options. Andrey Gyurov, backed by the PP-DB coalition and a former caretaker prime minister, ranks second in both surveys and market pricing. GERB’s decision not to field a candidate has further consolidated the field around these two frontrunners ahead of the campaign launch on September 25, with the first-round outcome likely hinging on turnout among core party voters and any late shifts in coalition alignments.
