Bruce Blakeman, the Republican Nassau County executive, holds a strong lead in trader-implied odds for winning his home county in the November 2026 New York gubernatorial election, reflecting the area’s recent Republican tilt and his local record on taxes, safety, and spending restraint. Kathy Hochul trails as the Democratic incumbent, with polls from mid-2026 showing Blakeman ahead locally even as she maintains a wider statewide edge. Recent campaign activity includes Blakeman securing corrections officer union backing and targeting suburban voters with messages on affordability and opposition to state mandates, while Hochul has gained endorsements from firefighter unions and highlighted economic programs. Nassau’s suburban voting patterns and Blakeman’s incumbency advantage continue to shape consensus probabilities ahead of the general election.

The candidates will be primarily ranked by the number of valid votes received in the specified election. If two or more candidates are tied on valid votes, ties will be broken by alphabetical order of the candidate last names. This market will resolve to the candidate that occupies the highest finishing position after applying this ranking.
Candidates who are listed on multiple ballot lines under New York's fusion voting system will have their vote totals determined based on the sum of all votes for that candidate.
If the results of the election in the specified county are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, this market will resolve to "Other."
This market will resolve based on a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the government of New York, including the New York State Board of Elections and the government of Nassau County.
