Recent polling in Rio Grande do Norte shows incumbent senator Styvenson Valentim (Podemos) holding a clear lead for one Senate seat in the October 4 election, where voters select two candidates. This leaves the second position competitive among Zenaide Maia (PSD), who seeks reelection, and challengers including Samanda de Lula (PT), Rafael Motta (PDT), and Coronel Hélio (PL). A September Exatus survey placed Maia second in combined vote intentions but found the next group statistically tied within the margin of error. Party coalitions, regional turnout patterns, and second-preference voting dynamics continue to shape positioning ahead of the vote count, keeping implied probabilities for second place closely matched across leading contenders.
