**Morocco’s parliamentary elections on 23 September 2026 will determine the leading party in the House of Representatives, from which King Mohammed VI appoints the next prime minister under Article 47.** Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, PAM secretary general, housing minister, and Marrakesh mayor, leads trader pricing at 56.8 percent amid speculation she could become the country’s first female head of government if her party finishes first. Fouzi Lekjaa’s recent PAM membership and profile as budget minister and football federation president have added momentum to the party while keeping multiple names in contention. The race remains tight because the three-party coalition outcome, voter turnout, and final seat totals are still uncertain, with RNI, PAM, and Istiqlal positioned as the main contenders. Election results and any subsequent coalition signals will clarify the field before the royal appointment.
