Taylor Swift leads the VMA Artist of the Year market at 58.5% implied probability, reflecting traders' emphasis on her sustained streaming dominance, record VMA history, and strong year-long metrics ahead of the September 27 ceremony. Madonna's 13 nominations and opening performance slot after 23 years add notable momentum, yet her 20.5% odds indicate bettors view her campaign as secondary to Swift's scale. Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter sit near 18.5% and 1.5% respectively amid their solid nomination counts and recent releases, while Bruno Mars, Morgan Wallen, and others trail with single-digit chances. The tight clustering among nominees highlights fan voting's role through September 25, with late performance buzz and chart updates as key swing factors before the Los Angeles telecast.
