Temporary, interim, or placeholder mayors appointed before the election will not be considered. If the result of this election isn't known by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source for this market will be a consensus of credible reporting; however, if there is any ambiguity in the results, this market will resolve according to official information from Niagara Falls, Ontario.**Jim Diodati**, the incumbent mayor since 2010 seeking a fifth term, holds the strongest trader consensus in the Niagara Falls, Ontario mayoral race due to his long record of local infrastructure projects, tourism initiatives, and platform priorities such as expanded housing, a new regional hospital, and physician recruitment. Nominations closed August 21 with five certified candidates, including city councillor Lori Lococo and challengers Kevin Martineau, Paul Manning, and Michael Lucid.
