Forecast models from the National Weather Service and other agencies indicate a high near 81°F for New York City on September 17, driven by southerly winds advecting mild air and persistent cloud cover that moderates peak heating. This positions the 82-83°F bin as the market leader, with traders incorporating historical mid-September baselines around 75-80°F and the limited intensification potential from humid, mostly cloudy conditions. Recent observations show overnight lows near 70°F with light southwesterly flow, while any afternoon clearing could briefly support readings into the mid-80s. Upcoming hourly updates and final official readings will refine resolution near the 80-83°F range.
