Any revisions to precipitation recorded after data is finalized for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Dry conditions driven by a persistent high-pressure ridge over the Pacific Northwest have kept Seattle precipitation well below the 1.6-inch September average through early September, with only 0.18–0.35 inches recorded month-to-date. Official National Weather Service forecasts and ensemble models show limited moisture return this weekend from a weak trough, followed by clearing and below-normal precipitation favored through mid-month. These factors align with the market's heavy weighting toward totals under 1 inch, as historical analogs and current steering patterns reduce the likelihood of significant late-month rainfall accumulation.
