Official National Weather Service observations at Los Angeles International Airport recorded a minimum temperature of 68°F on September 17, 2026, under mostly clear skies with moderate west winds and typical marine layer influence. This aligns precisely with the market-implied odds of 100% for the 68-69°F range, reflecting trader consensus grounded in real-time station data rather than models. Historical averages for the date hover near 63-64°F, but recent patterns showed warmer nights without significant onshore flow or cloud cover to drive further cooling. The slim 0.1% odds for 55°F or below underscore the absence of any anomalous cold advection. A resolution shift would require revised official climatological summaries or station discrepancies, though such revisions remain improbable given consistent preliminary reports.
