Alexandre Guimarães (MDB) leads trader pricing for second place in Tocantins' two-seat Senate contest, reflecting his consistent second-place standing in recent polls behind Eduardo Gomes (PL). The state's plurality system, in which voters select two candidates, has produced a fragmented field that includes Gaguim (União), Vanderlei Luxemburgo (Podemos), Ronaldo Dimas (Podemos), Eli Borges (Republicanos), and Paulo Mourão (PT). Late-August surveys showed Guimarães holding 18-25% support while trailing Gomes, with high undecided shares and room for movement among lower-polling names. Gaguim's higher rejection ratings and the absence of major late-campaign developments have kept the second spot competitive, with traders pricing in Guimarães' edge in name recognition and organizational support ahead of the October 4 vote.
