Recent polling from Datafolha and Quaest shows Marília Campos (PT) leading overall for one of Minas Gerais’s two Senate seats, while Aécio Neves (PSDB), Carlos Viana (PSD), Domingos Sávio (PL), and Marcelo Aro (PP) remain tightly clustered for second place within margins of error. Aécio’s late-August confirmation of his candidacy narrowed the gap after earlier surveys had highlighted Campos, Viana, and Sávio. With roughly 20% undecided and 18% blank or null responses, the second-vote dynamic stays fluid as voters select two distinct candidates. No major new endorsements, withdrawals, or scandals have emerged in the past month to shift the field ahead of the October 4 first round. Trader pricing reflects this ongoing contest among the leading names for the second position.
