The race for second place in Acre’s October 4, 2026 Senate election remains tightly contested because multiple candidates with prior executive or legislative experience—Marcio Bittar (PL), Mara Rocha (Republicanos), Jorge Viana (PT), and Gladson Cameli (PP)—draw comparable support in recent Quaest and Real Time Big Data surveys, all within margins of error. Cameli leads overall after resigning the governorship, yet first- and second-preference scenarios show Bittar and Rocha clustered near the top for the remaining seat, sustained by established name recognition, party coalitions, and regional voting patterns. Late-August polling confirmed this fragmentation, while the official campaign period and scheduled debates have yet to produce durable separation. Traders price the outcome as uncertain because modest shifts in turnout or alliances among key blocs could readily reorder the final ranking before election day.
