Lula maintains a commanding position in Pará first-round polling, consistently leading Flávio Bolsonaro by double-digit margins in state-specific surveys from July through mid-September 2026. Incumbency advantages, established PT organizational strength in northern states, and steady approval near 50 percent among paraenses underpin trader consensus reflected in the 94.5 percent implied probability. Fragmented opposition support across multiple right-leaning and centrist candidates, including Augusto Cury, Renan Santos, and Ronaldo Caiado, further limits any single challenger's ability to overtake in the October 4 vote. Late campaign events, turnout shifts among undecided voters, or unexpected consolidation behind one alternative could still narrow the gap, though recent state-level data show no such movement.
