Lula holds the strongest trader consensus for first place in Amazonas due to consistent polling leads or near-ties in the state, backed by established PT infrastructure and stronger interior support that offsets capital dynamics. Recent August surveys from Real Time Big Data and Quaest showed Lula at 38-40% against Flávio Bolsonaro at 35-39%, with the rest of the field—including Renan Santos, Pablo Marçal, Ronaldo Caiado, Romeu Zema, and Augusto Cury—each below 6%. National aggregates reflect a similarly tight presidential race heading into the October 4 first-round vote, where a crowded opposition and low undecided shifts have kept secondary candidates priced near zero. Market pricing for Bolsonaro at roughly one-quarter reflects his evangelical base and capital strength, yet traders appear to discount late swings given the compressed timeline and structural barriers for challengers.
