Jaques Wagner (PT) holds the strongest position for second place in the Bahia Senate race, where voters select two candidates and the top two win the seats, due to his consistent strength in second-preference voting and the PT's overall dominance in recent polling. The September 9 Real Time Big Data survey showed Rui Costa (PT) leading the consolidated vote at 26%, with Wagner at 19%, João Roma (PL) at 17%, and Angelo Coronel (Republicanos) at 15%—all within the margin of error for the second spot. Wagner topped the explicit second-vote scenario at 20%, ahead of Coronel and Roma. Traders appear to price in PT organizational advantages and historical patterns in the state ahead of the October 4 first-round election, while lower probabilities for Roma, Coronel, and others reflect their more limited crossover support.
