Manny Rutinel holds a strong lead in trader pricing for Colorado’s 8th Congressional District because the seat ranks among the most competitive House battlegrounds, with the Republican incumbent having won by less than one point in 2024. Rutinel secured the Democratic nomination in the June 30 primary by a wide margin over the more moderate alternative, allowing unified party resources and early super PAC advertising to focus on flipping the district. Key factors include the area’s large Latino electorate, ongoing voter concerns over healthcare access and living costs, and the narrow historical margins that make small turnout or polling shifts decisive. Evans maintains a sizable fundraising edge and is emphasizing his background as a veteran and former law enforcement officer while attacking Rutinel’s progressive record, but these efforts have not yet shifted the market’s assessment of the race’s fundamentals heading into the November 3 general election.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
