This market will resolve according to the party of the candidate who wins the AZ-08 congressional district seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2026 midterm elections. The midterm elections will take place on November 3, 2026. A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).**Incumbent Republican Abraham Hamadeh holds a strong position in Arizona’s 8th Congressional District ahead of the November 3, 2026 general election.** The West Valley seat, encompassing areas such as Glendale, Peoria, and Sun City West, carries a pronounced Republican lean, as shown by the prior Democratic nominee’s double-digit defeat in 2024 and consistent nonpartisan ratings labeling the race Solid or Safe Republican. Hamadeh secured the GOP nomination without opposition in the July 21 primary after entering Congress in January 2025. Democrat Bernadette Greene-Placentia, a former truck driver, won her primary but faces structural headwinds, including lower visibility and fundraising relative to the incumbent. A late-August solo forum allowed her to criticize Hamadeh’s alignment with the Trump administration and emphasize working-class themes, yet no subsequent polling or events have narrowed the gap. Trader pricing at 84.5% for Hamadeh and 16.5% for Greene-Placentia aligns with the district’s partisan baseline, incumbency edge, and absence of competitive indicators. Early voting begins October 7, with no scheduled debates or major catalysts expected to shift the outlook before Election Day.
