Incumbent Democratic Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar holds a strong position in the November 2026 Nevada general election, reflected in trader pricing that places him well ahead of Republican Jim Marchant. Aguilar advanced unopposed through the June Democratic primary and benefits from substantial campaign resources exceeding $1 million, while Marchant secured the Republican nomination in a close contest but reports near-zero funds. The race is a rematch of the 2022 contest, where Aguilar prevailed by roughly two points. Marchant’s platform, which includes proposals to eliminate mail ballots and electronic voting machines, has drawn limited establishment backing and may constrain broader appeal in a state that relies heavily on mail voting. Independent and third-party candidates remain available on the ballot but show minimal market movement.
