**Trader consensus in the Polymarket market for Chicago’s highest temperature on September 10, 2026, centers on 78–79°F (58.5% implied probability), with 76–77°F as the next most likely range (32.5%).** These probabilities align closely with official National Weather Service and local forecast guidance calling for a daytime high near 77–79°F under mostly cloudy morning conditions that gradually give way to partial afternoon sun and moderate north-to-northeast winds of 5–10 mph. September 10 climatology supports this positioning: the 1991–2020 average high is 78.2°F, and recent model runs show no strong warm advection or clear-sky amplification that would push readings into the low 80s. Light precipitation chances earlier in the week have diminished, leaving stable boundary-layer conditions that limit both extreme warming and rapid cooling. Lower-probability outcomes above 80°F or below 76°F reflect the narrow uncertainty band typical for a day without significant synoptic forcing or model spread. Updated NWS and private forecasts through the morning will provide the final observational constraints before the market resolves.
