The suburban Dallas-Fort Worth district, adjusted under the 2025 redistricting map upheld by the Supreme Court, has favored Republican candidates in recent cycles, including a comfortable 2024 margin. Van Duyne’s substantial fundraising advantage—exceeding $2.5 million compared to challenger Kevin Burge’s roughly $210,000—supports her campaign infrastructure. Burge, a Marine veteran who won the Democratic runoff in May, faces structural headwinds typical of challengers in Solid Republican-rated seats according to outlets like the Cook Political Report and Sabato’s Crystal Ball. Trader consensus aligns with these district fundamentals and limited recent shifts in polling or endorsements.
