This market will resolve according to the bank that serves as the lead underwriter in the initial public offering of OpenAI. If no IPO occurs by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or OpenAI completes an initial public offering without a designated lead underwriter, this market will resolve to “Other.” If multiple banks are identified as lead underwriters, this market will resolve according to the primary lead underwriter. If the hierarchy between them is unclear, this market will resolve once it is conclusively evident which bank is the primary lead underwriter, for example, through the order in which the banks are listed in the underwriting section of OpenAI's final initial public offering prospectus, once released. The primary resolution source for this market will be official disclosures from OpenAI. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Goldman Sachs leads OpenAI's IPO bookrunner positioning at 79.5% implied probability due to its confirmed role as a top underwriter in the company's confidential S-1 filing alongside Morgan Stanley. Recent reporting highlights Goldman's edge from leading the SpaceX IPO and its broader dominance in large-scale technology listings, while OpenAI's March 2026 $122 billion funding round and revolving credit facility further involved Goldman in key financial relationships. Morgan Stanley trails at 19.5% as a co-lead candidate but lacks the same recent execution momentum. CEO Sam Altman's September 2026 comments delaying any listing until 2027 for AI safety priorities have not altered the established banker lineup, though the extended timeline introduces room for syndicate adjustments before resolution.
