The first round of the 2026 midterm Georgia Governor election will be held on November 3, 2026. A candidate may win the election “outright” in the first round by winning more than 50% of the valid votes in the first round. This market will resolve to “Yes” if any candidate wins the 2026 midterm Georgia Governor election outright in the first round. Otherwise, it will resolve to “No”. If the results of the first round of the specified election are not known definitively by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "No". This market will resolve based on the results of this election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the Georgia Governor election.**Recent polling in the 2026 Georgia gubernatorial race shows a tight two-candidate contest between Democratic nominee Keisha Lance Bottoms and Republican nominee Rick Jackson, with averages placing them in the mid-to-high 40s and roughly 7% undecided.** This structure, combined with minimal third-party support, leads traders to assign a high implied probability that one candidate will secure a majority on November 3. Primary results reinforced consolidated fields: Bottoms won the Democratic primary outright, while Jackson prevailed in the Republican runoff. Upcoming events such as the October 6 town hall debate and early voting could influence final margins, yet current evidence points to vote consolidation favoring an outright winner rather than a runoff. Trader consensus on this outcome reflects assessments of polling trends, historical patterns in Georgia statewide races, and the absence of factors likely to fragment the vote further.
