Presidential elections in Bulgaria are expected to be held in the Fall of 2026. This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who wins the next presidential election in Bulgaria. This market includes any potential second round. If the result of this election isn't known by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other". This market will resolve based on the result of the election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the Bulgarian government, specifically the Central Election Commission (Centralna izbiratelna komisia, CEC) (www.cik.bg/).Iliana Iotova holds a commanding lead in the October 25, 2026 Bulgarian presidential election as incumbent, with broad backing from an initiative committee that includes Progressive Bulgaria, BSP–OL, and aligned figures after naming Kiril Valchev as running mate in early September. A July Global Metrics poll showed her with roughly 50 percent support, reflecting strong consolidation among ruling coalition voters and high name recognition following her assumption of the presidency in January 2026. Andrey Gyurov, the PP–DB-backed former caretaker prime minister, trails as the clearest alternative with about 23 percent in the same survey, drawing core reformist support but limited crossover. GERB’s decision not to field a candidate has further narrowed the field, while smaller declared or potential candidacies register negligible traction. Trader pricing aligns with this polling edge and Iotova’s institutional position ahead of the September registration deadline and campaign start.
