This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Istanbul Airport in degrees Celsius on 21 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=LTFM If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Trader sentiment for Istanbul's lowest temperature on September 21, 2026, clusters tightly around 18–19°C because official forecasts and live observations point to an overnight minimum in that narrow range, with limited upside or downside potential under current conditions.** Clear skies overnight, light variable winds (often under 10 km/h), and high humidity (70–88%) have favored radiative cooling, allowing surface temperatures to drop steadily after sunset. Recent model consensus from sources like ECMWF and GFS shows the daily low settling near 19–20°C (roughly 66–68°F), consistent with the 19°C outcome holding the slight edge at 50.5% implied probability. The 18°C and 17°C options remain competitive because small differences in cloud cover timing, urban heat-island effects from the city’s dense built environment, or exact station location (e.g., airport vs. urban core) can shift the recorded minimum by 1°C. No significant frontal systems or strong advection are present today to drive larger deviations, keeping 20°C or higher probabilities near zero and limiting support for 16°C or below. Tomorrow’s incoming northerly flow and rain will cool conditions further, but that arrives after today’s minimum is set. Traders are therefore pricing the narrow band of uncertainty in precise overnight cooling rates and measurement specifics rather than any broad shift in the synoptic pattern.
