Recent National Weather Service guidance and model consensus point to scattered thunderstorms developing through the afternoon in Denver, with forecast highs centered around 80–82°F amid variable cloud cover and southwesterly flow. These conditions, including a 20–37% precipitation chance and potential for brief cooling from outflow boundaries, underpin the market's tight clustering around the 80–83°F bins while leaving room for an 84°F+ outlier if storms remain isolated or delayed. Historical September averages near 79°F and yesterday's observed 83°F provide context for the modest upward tilt in trader-implied odds, though model spreads on convective timing introduce the observed uncertainty between the leading outcomes. Updated NWS briefings and radar trends through peak heating hours remain the key near-term catalysts.
