**The Maynas mayoral race remains closely contested ahead of the October 4, 2026 vote, with trader pricing reflecting a fragmented field and recent polling volatility.** Roger Gronerth Pinedo of Somos Perú leads most surveys from August and September 2026 in the mid-20s to low-30s percent range, drawing on prior regional visibility and party infrastructure in Loreto. Joel Parimango Álvarez of Alianza para el Progreso and Boris Morey Sifuentes of Fuerza Popular follow as main challengers, with support split across more than a dozen other registered candidates. This plurality system and persistent undecided or soft voters keep probabilities tight, as small swings in turnout or last-minute consolidation could shift the outcome without a dominant frontrunner emerging. Local priorities such as municipal services, infrastructure, and Amazon-region economic issues have defined the campaign without decisive late-breaking events.
