Recent polls ahead of Berlin’s September 20 state election show Bündnis 90/Die Grünen holding steady near 16 percent while the SPD sits at 10–12 percent, preserving a consistent gap. The Greens’ joint lead candidates Werner Graf and Bettina Jarasch have maintained support amid a fragmented field where Die Linke, CDU, and AfD compete for first place. The SPD, represented by Steffen Krach, continues to trail after years in the CDU–SPD governing coalition, with no recent polling surge or major policy announcement narrowing the difference. Traders therefore assign Grüne a strong implied probability of finishing ahead on election night.
