The clustered probabilities around 49-51% for teams like Strasbourg, Le Havre, Auxerre, and Nice reflect a wide-open contest for second place behind PSG, whose title dominance leaves no established frontrunner among the rest. Last season’s standings showed Lens, Lille, Lyon, and Marseille finishing within 11 points of each other, while Strasbourg reached the UEFA Conference League semifinals. Early 2026-27 results have reinforced parity, with Lille, Monaco, and Rennes atop the table after four matchdays but several promoted sides and mid-table clubs posting competitive starts. Squad continuity, summer recruitment, and the absence of European commitments for some clubs sustain the even distribution of implied probabilities across a broad group of contenders.
