Barcelona’s dominant early-season form and overwhelming title favoritism—projected at over 90% in multiple models—position Real Madrid as the clear consensus choice for runner-up. José Mourinho’s return has stabilized Los Blancos, who sit third after four matches despite a recent loss to Real Betis, buoyed by Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior, and Bellingham’s contributions. Madrid’s projected 82-plus points and strong squad depth reinforce trader expectations of a distant second place. Barcelona’s reinforcements, including Rodri and Anthony Gordon, widen the gap to the chasing pack, leaving mid-table sides like Celta Vigo, Rayo Vallecano, and Real Sociedad with minimal implied probability amid limited title contention history and current standings.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of LaLiga for the 2026-27 season per the rules of LaLiga (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the LaLiga; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
