Saudi Aramco is targeting partial restoration of roughly half the East-West pipeline’s capacity within days after drone strikes from Iraqi militias damaged pumping stations and forced a precautionary shutdown on September 10-11. The 1,200 km Petroline, which had been moving 4-5 million barrels per day to bypass the Strait of Hormuz, faces repair estimates ranging from days for bypass work to six weeks for full operations. Brent crude has eased to around $102 per barrel as markets price in the shortened outage, while European buyers face delayed cargoes and Asian refiners absorb redirected volumes. Trader consensus on Polymarket reflects these timelines, with uncertainty centered on whether safety checks and bypasses allow meaningful flow before month-end. Key near-term catalysts include Aramco operational updates and any further security developments.

This market will resolve to “Yes” if the government of Saudi Arabia announces that the East-West oil pipeline is operational or no longer shut down between market creation and the specified date, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”.
A qualifying announcement must express that the pipeline is presently operating; operation at partial or reduced capacity qualifies.
Announcements that attribute such a claim to third parties, state that the pipeline will or may operate in the future, describe work underway to restore operation, or frame resumption as expected, planned, or conditional, will not qualify.
Once a qualifying announcement is made, this market will resolve to “Yes,” regardless of any subsequent contradictory statements, or alternative information from other sources.
The resolution source for this market will be official information from the government of Saudi Arabia.
